Recovery

If you've lost data, there are several recovery options to choose from. Choosing the right on depends on how much data is lost or corrupt.

Online Recovery

Online recovery should be your first choice when less than 1GB need to be recovered. If you've lost a document or file Online Recovery is the easiest option. All you have to do is login to BackupBase, locate the file, and restore it.

Remote Assistance Service

If you need help at any point, just call BackupBase Support. Our engineers will walk you through the recovery process by logging in remotely.

Base Drive

If you've lost more than 1GB due to a system crash, theft, or virus; BackupBase will ship you a USB hard drive to your door. Just plug the drive into your computer and restore your data or, if your computer is not available, restore the data to any PC. After you're done, simply ship the drive back. If you wish to keep it, you'll pay only the cost of the drive.

If you choose to use the encryption method to backup your data we cannot recover your data without the encryption key. When you are installing the BackupBase application make sure you save your encryption key. We recommend saving it on a thumb drive or CD and placing it in a secure location like a safe deposit box, fire proof safe, or a relative's house.
